I received an email last night from a potential ebay buyer that was excited over the items I had listed. He wanted to buy some of them at TOP DOLLAR. I was somewhat skeptical, but played along to see where this would go. He offered me 60.00 for my copy of N64 Super Smash Bros with Guide that was currently up on auction. The item has no bids, a starting bid of 9.99 and a buy it now of 30.00
My grew even more skeptical wondering why on earth someone would offer me double my buy it now. He offered to use paypal right now and that it was an offer no smart person would refuse.
I did not fall off the turnip truck yesterday, and believe my gut feeling of some sort of scam : either a stolen credit card , or maybe he would file a refund with paypal would be the end result of the transaction.
Also the buyer claimed to have done business with me before, but I did not recognize the name. So I refused. He sent me 10 more emails begging me to reconsider. He wanted my IM name to talk about it. Then he got mad and said when I needed money to pay my bills and came crying to him , that he would not help me. I guess he thinks because I sell games on ebay , that I must be poor and desperately need his money. I thanked him again for his generous offer. I bidder blocked him on ebay, and deleted the remaining emails.
So what do you guys think of this little ordeal?
