So I stopped in at a semi-local Gamestop on my way home, and I notice that they've got a copy of DDR Mario Mix in stock. It's as complete as I go most of the time for Cube games (case, manual, disc) and it's in rather nice shape. Still, it was $49.99 used. I have several questions then.

1. This game seems to be rather rare. Any idea why the limited production run?

2. When "complete", what all did the game come with? Just the additional big box and dance pad?

3. I know they make generic dance pads to go with the game, but how hard do you think it'd be to grab the big box and official pad on the cheap?

4. Lastly, is it worth the $47 or whatever it'll be with my 10% discount? I'm slowly starting a Gamecube set, but I'm only around 50 games in right now. Would it be a good idea to go back and grab it tomorrow?

Thanks for any help.

Mario Mix is at least on it's 3rd print run (maybe 4th), so it's not that rare. I guess it goes for a lot on Ebay because they always sell out quickly and DDR is pretty big right now. Plus it's a good intro to the series since it's not that difficult (compared to other DDR releases).

I can't stand soft pads though, so I've never opened mine. And apparently pad adapters don't work on the GC for some reason either. I just play the songs on my Xbox with StepmaniaX and a Cobalt Flux. If new copies ever hit the $200 mark again though, I'll think about selling mine. You can get cheap Gamecube soft pads for around $10-$20 online though but if you bought this game with a pad, I don't understand why you wouldn't use the one that came with it anyway.

At that price, I'd be all over it.

you could sell it for about $80 on ebay,as long as its complete.

Ok, so it's not *that* rare. Just kind of overpriced / popular a la FF7 or the like. Gotcha. I'll still have to look whenever I head back that way on Friday. Thanks.
