Earth Defense Genesis question

I just got this game from www.EBgames.com ($2.99!) and it's damn strange. It's not licensed by Sega or anything and the instruction book is really weird (it folds out). The cart is a real funky shape too. Is it kinda like the Sachen releases on the NES?

All three Realtec games are in the flimsy, thinner than normal, cheaply printed packaging. The other two are Whac-a-Critter and Funny World/Balloon Boy. All of the games are pretty poor as well, particularly Earth Defense which is worse than most 8-bit 2D SHMUPS. Still, they're an interesting anomaly in the Genesis library, and the Whac-a-Critter controller is a BITCH to find.

I doubt they're like Sachen releases tho. More along the lines of Color Dreams then Sachen. Realtec would be the company to find, especially if it means you'd net a Whac-A-Critter controller....

I'd hazard a guess that the LCD handheld of 1942 is better than Earth Defense.

The only Genny shmup worse is contained on the Action 52.
