I didn't see a dedicated thread to pictures from the show, so maybe this can be it and everyone can add the url to their pictures here. I didn't get tons of pictures, cause there is so much to do, you forget to take pictures. I have pictures from setting up for the show, the show and swap room, the museum, stuff I got, and of course the auction.

Click on the link for CG Expo 2007

And the show was great, and the people better. Thanks to Joe, Sean, and John, and the many volunteers who make this happen! Can't wait for next year!

I'm going to try to get my photos online by Thursday and I see a few miscellaneous photo threads already but it's much easier if links to pictures are all kept in one place.

I saw cameras snapping away all weekend. Let's see your work!

Here are the pics I took at the show. I havent written any captions yet but will later. The first page or two are pics of the expo getting set up then after that was the banquet. And then after that with Al Alcorn receiving a Bronze Atari 2600 for Atari's 30th anniversary. Enjoy!

Jay Smith, inventor of the Vectrex. His keynote speech was absolutely fascinating - in addition to creating one of my favorite underdog game systems, he also worked on propulsion systems for the Apollo lunar module (!). He could've talked for three hours and I still would've been listening.

Nick "Drexel923" takes a good-natured ribbing from his neighbors at the CGE auction after winning the auctions on not one but two Mystery Boxes O' Crap - literally, cardboard boxes resembling the question block marks in Super Mario, containing either treasures that you paid too little for or insanely common stuff you paid way too much for - which contained...well...crap. At least he got a free beer for his trouble.

http://www.thelogbook.com/earl/hizzouse/cge07/rundown.jpg
I admit it - before they admitted folks to the show floor, I ran down two whole rows of arcade games with the fisheye lens on. It looked kinda like this.

Not being fiscally capable, peer-burdened or otherwise compelled to shell out hundreds of dollars on the hobby, Alex and Mezrabad's son, Ben (both veterans of OVGE2006) realized what CGE was really all about - pure love of playing videogames - and they ran with it (or better yet, sat down and played) for most of the next two days.

Good old Sothy. He's the real deal. Here he is co-opting Fighter17's custom DP badge since Fighter didn't have the testicular fortitude to wear it himself. In the Marines we had a colloquialism used to refer to challenging someone's manhood: "Pulling your punk card". Sothy did this - literally - to Fighter17 at CGE. Nice work, Soth.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/pzcortez/cge2k7/DSCN0633.jpg
Walter Day - Twin Galaxies' head honcho - congratulating me on my run to get a record on Missile Command. I took 4th place. I might have gotten a higher score, but some other folks were hogging the 80's living room (where I really wanted to play), so I had to settle for the 2600 on the back wall which unfortunately was attached to a pair of 7800 controllers. 215,000 points and change scored on a "Painstick". Oww...but I still made the grade.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/pzcortez/cge2k7/DSCN0638.jpg
My princess was in another castle! Really. Mrs. Pan went over to the Mirage to swim, so Alex and I had to walk over to the Hilton post-CGE to catch the monorail. We decided to pop into the Star Trek bar for a spell. You see how well that went. Whod've thunk that Gorns can be placated with Diet Dr. Pepper? Alex is such a clever little Hobbit.

Pantech I have to disagree with what you said about Sothy wearing Fighter17 badge. To tell you the truth I did not even notice the badge of Sothy in fact I did not notice anyone's badges and especially what they said. Most likely Fighter17 had no idea Sothy was even "Calling out his Manhood". Unless Sothy actually went up to Fighter17 and said"What do you think of my name badge." I really don't find anything special about that.
