First was waltmart, then Toys 'r" us and now this. I think it is confirmed now that a price drop is going to happen. When 3 flyers mentioned about a price cut, then something is going on.

The only reason this is happening is because Microsoft wants to get a rid of the remaining 360 systems that have the red ring of death.

That's what I think too. They need to get rid of all these faulty 360's and get the cooler running models in the stores. At least I hope that's the reason.

$20 price break on the Core and $30 price break on the Elite????

WTF???

It better at the very least be $50 across all 3 sku's, and even then that's incredibly lame.

Yeah, this is a stupid decision. But it does make me less angry about buying a 360 on the 14th. I knew a price drop was coming but I figured it wouldn't be enough to care.

BTW Anthony1, I couldn't get it at Costco like you told me, I borrowed a members card or whatever it is but when I got there all they had was bundles with a controller and Forza 2 for $499. I only had $428 so I had to get it at Kmart and they gave me $40 back for signing up for something, I bought a few more games at a local pawn shop :-D

I agree that these are very stingy price drops, especially for almost two year old hardware.

But I feel it will have a positive effect on sales regardless.
