Am I the only one who really doesn't see a problem with the bullseye seller? I mean, hell, if people are willing to buy from him, that's their business. Personally, I refuse to buy games if they're two dollars more than I would pay for them (yeah, I know, I'm a cheapskate, but if I did that ten times I'd have twenty dollars to go buy another game or two with). I mean, it's really not to different from the guys who talked about selling their stuff for way too much to people.
I agree. Buy low, sell (if you decide to sell) high. Sounds like a winning combo to me.

I came across a garage sale with two SegaCD games (Joe Montana & a common futuristic racing game I forgot the name of) for $25 each. The tags looked like they'd been on their at least 10 years, though.

The problem with Bullseye is that when others who want to sell their games/systems see his auctions, they think they can get that much for them as well.

What really gets on my nerves is that you can find SCPH-1001 model Playstations on eBay for $6000 BIN. You can get them anywhere, and the lasers are shit. Mine barely plays regular CD's, let alone games.

You sold someone a Super Nintendo and three games for 120 dollars and you're complaining about people selling things overpriced? It's business. That simple. He's trying to make money just like everyone else. Overpriced? Yes. Don't buy it.

I saw two different retailers selling Mega Man X3 for more than $100 last weekend. When the hell did that get so valuable? (oh wait, it didn't...)

Well, to be fair, X3 is valuable--just not that valuable.

Found another one.

This guy doesn't list a price, but the fact he thinks 29 NES games and a couple accessories is "possibly one of the largest original Nintendo collections out there" is hysterical. He probably also wants a fairly high price, given how awesome he thinks the collection is :)

I want a Japanese DUO. Regular is fine, as are R and RX. Never really seen big differences, minus the 6 button included with the RX. That way, I can play all the CD games and the Japanese Hu-Cards without an adapter. Only thing I might need is the Arcade Card, and that's only if I bought a game that needed it.

For the most a regular duo being it a, PCE Duo or Turbo Duo should be avoided at all cost. Due to them having that damn sound issue problem.

Still if ya went with a duo-r or rx those are "perfect.. since they don't suffer from that problem.

There are fix's though for the regular duos but, they seem like a hassle to fix.

I just got 50 out of a basic NES on ebay- when I started it out at .99. I couldn't believe it. I feel a little bad- but what can you do?

It's funny I found this topic because last weekend I saw some of the most ridiculous asking prices ever.

I went to a garage sale last saturday, this woman was selling and Atari 2600 with 8 very common games, asking $200. The same woman also had a PS2 with 1 controller, NO games, asking $280.

Also went to a flea market last sunday, this vendor had a used copy on Metal Gear (NES) with box in pretty good shape, no manual. I asked the price, he said $160 because it's one of the rarest game ever....I laughed.

There's nothing whatsoever wrong with people being videogame capitalists, although I got out of that business a couple years ago.

It does mystify me however, when someone will continue to list something at a high price when it DOES NOT SELL. That's not capitalism, it's just ignorance and bad business.

Why on earth would anyone pay $6,000 for an original Playstation? I wouldn't even pay that for a Net Yaroze signed by Kutaragi with an unreleased retail copy of Thrill Kill inside! WTF!

That wasn't me. I never sold the SNES, I responded saying I had sold some games to a friend for $10 each. Super Mario All-Stars was the one I sold. Luckily for me, he decided he didn't want Earth Bound.

Local store of mine is all over the place they're great to sell to cause they tend to pay well but prices are high as a result especially for older stuff. I mean a genesis 2 is 40 a sega cd to go with it is 99 and the saturn and dreamcast are 40 each and most of their consoles are in poor shape, games are always in good shape but not consoles. I've bought a ps2 and a saturn from them and cleaned them up but only cause I had trade in money and couldn't stand seeing those consoles suffer.

Saturn games they have go up to 70 bucks for an RPG which seems to be the rate it goes for but theirs wasn't complete it was disc and box only no manual!

Today I saw an Atari 2600 with no controllers or box. Going for the ultra-low asking price of $75, I guess thats kind of ridiculous.

Where are the games at everyones Goodwill, in a display case or on the shelf?

Depends on who is working usually. At least over to my local Goodwill. There is no rhyme or reason to where they place the games. Some days they are in the glass display case by the register, other days they are over where the electronics (like vcr's and stereos) are kept. A third location I find them is mixed in with the children's toys. Not to mention the bins sitting around the store which employees have not unloaded yet. So you have to scour the whole store really, to find games sometimes, which should be a lesson for the occasional person here who says "My Goodwill has NOTHING!!!!"

Yeah my goodwill has games from time to time... Usually in the CD dump bin- but I've seen them just about everywhere... look for genesis games in the VHS sections, because they can look like VHS cases to the employees... also on the front counter near the register they have a few plastic bins, and they keep some up there. But yeah, goodwill has some stuff, but you have to be vigilant and consistantly go there- and no complaining like bangtango said.

Don't worry about it, we all make mistakes.

I can't believe some of these prices.

I thought a local thrift store selling fairly common 2600 games for $5 was bad.

Why feel bad, they did it to themselveds. If you'd listed it starting at $50, that would be different.

There's a guy on the local craigslist selling Yoshi's Island for the SNES for $80 because it's "rare". He also said that he saw it at a pawn shop for $100.

I've bought minimum 3 copies since I began hunting last year. They were in larger lots, so I don't think I've spent any more than $8 for a single one, and 2 of them were in ridiculously cheap lots where I got the games for under $2 each.

Then again... he also called it Yoshi's Island 2... so is there something I'm missing?
