At CGE at the table next to Digital Press's, where they were selling the CGE T-shirts there was also a couple of stacks of VHS tapes containing classic video game commercials. I didn't buy them because I just purchased a commercials DVD from Oldergames but now I kick myself for not doing so.
Anyway I've got a couple of questions to anyone who can answer 'em:
1) Do those tapes contain original (as in from TV and not yanked from the Internet in varying degrees of quality) commercials?
2) Who sells them?
Thanks!

Yoshi, how is that DVD from Oldergames? Are the ads just the little low-encoded commercials you find on the web, or are they good quality? Does it have the 80s Nintendo NES commercials?

I have the old DP CD-ROM that has a bunch of old gaming commercials on it. My copy is Volume 1 from 11/97 and is copyrighted both by DP and Sean Kelly. The first disc is the DP Guide and the second disc is nothing but old game commercials. Was a Volume 2 ever put out?

I just posted a review (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104433) of it. In short, yeah it's got a bunch of the low-encoded videos that's been flying around the web for years. I've got some still examples in the review. This volume is just Atari.
I'm hoping the VHS tapes are of better quality, so if anyone know how I can get my hands on them and sent to me (I don't plan on going to Illinois for a while) that'd be awesome.
