That's what they're worth, I STILL get E-mails from people asking for NES rom CD's, I've had people offer me up to $50 for one. Think about it for a second, are they available ANYWHERE to the average gamer? (Meaning noone on this board)
And so help me god if someone starts bitching about me selling a CD to someone who wants it. This turns into one of those threads and you can happily all fuck yourselves :)
Other than that, you'll notice the auction was only 2 hours old. Ebay will ban the seller soon, don't worry.

Before I started collecting games , I could do a search and find almost any rom i wanted for free. And now with kazaa , etc you can get hundreds of them together for FREE. And it's as easy as doing a Google search to find that out. Hence the title another Sucker bites the dust. :D
Hey if you can sell them for that much go ahead. In fact I'll help with the cd writing and shipping for a cut. LOL . I just posted it Because it technically is E-Bay insanity, Paying a lot for something that is free. LOL

This helps to prove a long standing argument of mine -- if Ninendo, Sega, and other companies would wake up and REALIZE emulators are here to stay, they could sell their games on CD's like that for MAJOR money. We know Nintendo cam make a perfect emulator, as Animal Crossing shows. Get the rights to host the ROM on their website, offer them either for download or on a CD, and slap on a lock key unlocked with a password so you can't trade your copy to someone else. Mucho money. As it is now, the sellers on EBay are getting it. :)

Let me ask you this; How long would it take for Joe Someone to find and then download all of the NES roms on a 56k or even in some cases 28.8k modem? Lets also assume that the person in question has a life and a job and can't sit in front of his computer 24/7or a day straight.
Isn't it worth a one time quick payment of $30 to have them all convienantly delivered to you on a CD? After all, $30 is still less than most PS2 games.

I'm just saying, the games are all over the internet for free and I'm not even going to go into the legality issues for selling these things on e-bay. I mean Nintendo could get the sellers address so easily and prosecute them. That's why i put this under E-bay Insanity. Paying for things that are free and selling things you can get put in jail for. And before anyone comes back and says selling them isn't illegal , oh yes it is and the Bid N is taking people who do it to court every day.

I downloaded the entire Snes roms set in under two days. I can't imagine the NES rom set being as large (unzipped, the snes set took 8 cds to burn). I certainly don't support the selling of these discs though.

Hey don't get me wrong, of course you could download all of them, but with the way sites are dropping left and right, it IS very hard.
I CAN'T get rom's anymore without a LOT of work. You have to remember everyone bragging in this post knows what they're doing and have spent hundreds of hours learning how to, finding places, downloading, updating, and burning. $30.00 isn't that bad, if you want a no-hassles current, full updated hyper super NES CD :)
Re: Raedon - There's a PS2 Knifey-swappy thread in the main topic you haven't replied to yet for playing CURRENT GEN games, shouldn't you be over there?
Sorry, couldn't resist ;)

That person on the auction never said they were roms. I smell a negative.

IMPORTANT** You MUST email me before bidding on this auction. Please use the 'ask seller a question' feature or email me with Nintendo Game Auction in the title. If you do not contact me, I reserve the right to cancel your bid!!!
That, and for the price, I'm sure the bidder knew what he was bidding on :)

I was thinking someone payed hundreds of dollars. 30 bucks isn't so bad even considering it is free to download online it can be time consuming. 30 bucks isn't horrible price to pay for laziness. :D
