Whats a good videogame selector switch?

I have no idea of whats a good brand and a good price. Are there ones that connect a/v as well as RF? Also, I want one that hooks up at least 4 at a time. Thanks in advance.

The cheapo Gamestop brand one that you can get used there for about $7 has been serving the DP store since opening, with no signs of messing up at all :)

Pelican System Selector Pro.

This is the best switchbox ever made. Eight ports, component, s-video, composite, plus optical audio and ethernet. I will never use anything else.

No RF, but there are countless switches out there that can handle that stuff.

I don't have any specific recommendations, but, the cheaper selector switches are generally 'mechanical' switches. These switches, in my experience, aren't as good as electronic switches. You'll know if the switch is electronic by whether or not it plugs into an electrical outlet.

As a bonus, if it's a really good electronic switch, it will automatically detect a new signal and switch to it without any intervention from you. Makes it a lot easier to just turn on a console and play :)

I picked up a Sony electronic auto-switcher from ebay for a couple of bucks. Works like a charm, takes s-video and everything.

I use (cascade actually) three of the GameStop switches for my game setup. They work pretty well, but you can't really stack more than two or three because the buttons are on the top. They are mechanical switches made by pelican, and on rare occasion there is minor quality loss. They also come with one set of composite/s-video and component cables, though they're pretty cheaply made.

My only complaint is that there aren't replacement labels for the newest consoles, or more of the classic consoles (or anything Sega). Rubbing alcohol can remove some of the letters to change the names a bit (Nintendo64>Nintendo, PS2>PS). Also, the RJ-45 ports are pointless as I hook my consoles directly into my (ethernet) switch.

I used to use a radio shack brand selector with four inputs and two outputs. The extra output made it so much more useful, but I sold it anyway because it only handled composite.
If i could find a selector like that with s-video and component, I'd buy it on the spot.

I second this recommendation! It has removable name plates for the systems that light up when in use, but it's better to print out color labels on sticker paper (IMO). Here are some labels I made for it:
