Very soon, they just finished taking stories for the Lore section of the guide. Your not the only person that wants a new classic guide, mine is on its last legs.

I would think september-ish, though normally they come out in August.

As far as I know its just a new version of the classic guide so I'm guessing that new systems would not be added.

A new Classic Guide is in the works and should be going through the final editing processes right now. When it hits the shelves i'm not exactly sure, but it shouldn't be TOO far off. I don't think any new systems were added to it, just massive updates to rarities, prices and all kinds of new info to the sections.

Many new consoles have been added, the Turbo Grafx has been removed, and lots of good updates are en route.

I called the store and inquired about it a few weeks ago...supposedly they're hoping to get it out by the end of the year.

The end of the year isn't looking too good right now. I'm projecting February 2008 as of now.
Kill me if you want, but I refuse to put out an inferior product. There are still several sections that need work, and we're working on them. If I have to live with the new book for the next five years I'm willing to sacrifice a few months right now to make it right.
I promise I'll update you via the DP home page but feel free to poke and kick whenever it seems you haven't seen an update recently - that just means I'm not doing my job.

Nah, we wouldn't kill you, it'd be better to just take you hostage and force you to finish the guide. ;)
Seriously though...yes, I think most people would rather just wait for a high-quality finished product.

I cant wait either. I proudly show off my old guides in my game room. They both are in rough shape now. Excellent reads, I look forward to the revisions

cant wait till the new guides come out. you all did such a great job with the first guides. i'm not sure what the process is, but i'll be glad to submit a lore story or two to see what you think.
