Definitely the first Parappa. Music games were a new idea for me back when that game came out, and the songs were very catchy. I didn't like Umjammer Lammy as much, and I haven't played Parappa 2.

Um Jammer Lammy is the only one my friends will play becuase they have a complex about looking like they might actually enjoy a music genre other than seattle rock or techno x_x

While Pa-rappa hade the edge in humor (I love the driving test Instructor:"now turn to the right" Me: "now turn Left" *car spins through intersection.)
Um Jammer Lammy was just a bit more fun to play.

Gitaroo man!

Seriously, I've played parappa, and unjammer, and for ME they were WAY too hard. Gitaroo man, the more you practice, the better you get, I'm on stage 8 out of 10 now. The other 2 games I only got to stage 3 or 4, no matter how many times I tried.

Gitaroo mans graphics and sound BLOW the other 2 away.

Wait until you get to the final fight with Zowie. Thank god there are a whole bunch of charge stages on that board. It's the only one I don't have an A on.

I've been looking for more games like Gitaroo Man, but I don't think there are any. I was hoping Parappa the Rapper was close, but I haven't found a copy yet. I've beaten Gitaroo Man hundreds of times, but I don't get tired of it. The music is just so cool.

I would have to go with the original.I have never played UMjammer but I have played the second and liked the first one better.

The music in UmJammer isn't as strong as Parappa, but the two player modes just rock. I'll say UmJammer Lammy gets the edge.

Yep, let me say it again, UmJammer Lammy.

Ok, changed it to Umjammer Lammy. happy now? :P

Since you asked, no, not particularly. I'd say my "happiness meter" is at about 65% at the moment. It's typically like this on Sunday night however, when the prospect of a full week of work is so near at hand. I'll be happier as the week draws on and gets closer to the weekend again. Oh, and changing the spelling like you did only increased my happiness by 0.00041%, so it didn't have as much of an impact on me as it may to others on this thread. Though I suppose if like, a billion people read this thread, see what you've done with the changed spelling, and each have 0.00041% of happiness added to their meter, you will have in fact made an impact after all.

Anyway, thanks for asking.

If you lower your happiness threshold you're more likely to be happy at 65%. The problem is that the happiness threshold is inversely proportional to the gullibility index. One nice thing is that the Asshollatonin levels drop sharply in warmer weather Some have posited that they are inversely proportional on a 1:1 ratio with the temperature, but I think it is closer to 1.2:1, but that's neither here nor there. What is important is that if you live in warmer areas, the Asshollatonin levels drop to an acceptable level to allow you to lower your happiness threshold without significant impact on your gullibility index.

It must be terribly upsetting to you that in my most incoherent state (as you said you "belive those were the booze talking") I'm more coherent than you in your most coherent state. Sorry about that.

Tough question, but I'd also have to go with UmJammer Lammy *barely* edging out PaRappa and PaRappa 2. ALL three games are fantastic!

The songs from PaRappa (the first one) are the most catchy I think - at least, they're the ones most likely to get stuck in my head at any given time. Plus, what other game offers... FLYING TOILETS!? Hilarious.

Lammy gives the player a TON of replay value. Go through once as Lammy, then play through AGAIN as PaRappa to see a whole new slew of cartoons that include the funniest cut scene ever (featuring PJ and PaRappa). AND TWO-PLAYER ACTION!!!

PaRappa 2 has more groovy stuff and the famous VIDEO GAME LEVEL.

They're all fantastic, IMO, must own titles. Go back and grab Lammy Kaine, if you haven't already.

Well, after reading that, my happiness meter shot up to 87.3853% which is an increase of at least 13.495873% over what it was prior to reading this thread. In addition, the mirth and merriment meter just went off the scale and the meter burst like they do in the movies (but oddly enough never in real life.)

Actually the spelling correction brought the chuckle level down a bit (currently at 75.38958932498%) because it would have been much funnier if you hadn't gotten the hint about the spelling. However, my shock and amazement level is currently at 97.48389% upon realizing that Kaine actually read the posts in this thread rather than responding with something like "I like turnips" and wondering why everyone was putting M in blodface.
