As many may know I have a baby on the way and I'm cleaning out a lot of games..."But" I'm not looking to take a dump on things as then I'd just store them..

...
180 Boxed Genesis games..What's it worth?

I'd like to sell the whole lot but shipping would be murder,...listing them all on ebay requires typing in each game name(pain in the butt)

Just curious what would you say a lot of 180 boxed Genesis games are worth..Most have manuals, some are sealed like Virtual Pinball,Tiny Toons & Barbie..

..two games on the top of the pile(now in bins)
Phantasy Star II-General Chaos

I just thought that I would throw this in because I remember a while back when people were pissed b/c your font was too small and your browser didn't show it correctly. Well...now it's a little big. Not necessarily getting on my nerves, just incase you didn't know.

WORTH a good amount of money my friend

if you got all booklet & all games are in great shape no sticker ripped on carts

you should look at approx

180 x 5$ at least (the cheapest i see...) ++ so imagine.

If you go cheaper than that it's a Steal for you
Some of the game go cheap but considering a lot that size yikes ^^

& A CRAZY SHIPPING FEE ^^

If you have a list or larger picture in which I could see the titles, I would probably be willing to take a few off your hands if you sell some as singles. I already see a few (10-20) I would definately be interested in buying but as a lot I wouldn't be interested as many are games I already have.

looks good!

Except I think you are using Arial instead of whatever the default font is. Anyone know what the default font is?

I can't see all the titles but it looks like there's a fair share of sports titles in there. It really doesn't matter if they're complete or not, most Genesis sports titles are worth about a buck each tops.

if you think about it though, there are games in there that are worth more than $5 as well so if you were to still charge $5 per game, you'd pretty much be evening it out as far as the sports games go. I'd say just charge $1000 BIN plus shipping and you should be all set....maybe Even do a $1500 or best offer BIN or something. Thats more loot in your pocket!

I'm no expert, but I'd be surprised if anyone was willing to pay $1000 for that lot. Of course I don't know all of the titles, and I don't know how many are complete, but people just don't seem to be interested in Genesis games. If it were NES or even SNES I would say you could probably do it, but Genesis is pushing it. My estimate would be more in the $500-750 range.

Yeah, I don't see $1,000. A complete Dreamcast collection (248+games) just sold on ebay to a DP member for about $1750. I think you might get $700-$800. Most of the sports titles are essentially worthless. I think you could get twice as much selling them individually though; offer combined shipping...

Wow!!

I didn't expect the numbers to be that high..:eek 2:

Now that i've moved things around and these are off the shelf..(in bins)...I'm going to taking them for trade in to Joe ,Digital Press store tomorrow.

I'm just sick of looking at them in the middle of my floor and in storage just kills me..Might as well someone else own them..

The lot will round off between $270-$300.00 as I have added some that were on another shelf.

Plus another 126 loose genny games/not sure what that will bring..

I put General Chaos on Ebay..just to see wha it goes to.

But from looking at general genesis game prices on ebay/for what I have ..nothings really over 2 bucks..3 at most..
Too many of the same games on ebay..Some listed high but not selling.:-/

So,if you are looking for anything..it'll all be at Joes store with a ton of other stuff tomorrow..

I'm not trying to hurt Joe's business but why wouldn't you at least put the whole lot of them up for sale on eBay (or here) once before you traded them in to a reseller? Again, no offense to Joe but he's only going to give you half what they're worth because that's the only way that he'll make a profit off of them. While I thought that $1500 was too high a figure you can probably get $500 for the lot on eBay

yeah, i was thinking the same thing, but didn't want to take anything away from DP. if you are really needing money than ebay will definitely bring in more. if you are worried about shipping cost than just post a high shipping cost ($100 or so) and then you're fine. it may hurt your bids a bit, but not enough to where it would bring your profit within your tradein value.

Yea at least half of those are only $1 or $2 games and the sports titles are basically worthless.

I'd say $400 max.

For the lot on ebay I would guess around $250.00 - 275.00

If you have any pricey titles ie shining Force II, Musha, SoR 3, Master of Monsters in there add some more to the value.

There are some nice strategy/adventure titles in those stacks - Herzog Zwei, Phantasy Star II, Might & Magic (x2), Starflight (with map?), Star Control (with poster?), Warrior of Rome, etc. Heck, I'd pay more than $5 apiece for most of those. :)

Thank you,so so much for all the replies..

I went to Joe's store this morning..it's always an enjoyable experience..Joe and his staff are always very nice, very knowledgeable on games.. and I love looking around the place and talking about games.

Joe gave me a great deal on my trade in items today..(I brought other items for trade in too)

....and I came home with what I wanted..(what my goal was)

The bins of genny games were soooooooooo heavy that shipping them in a Huge box would of been murder..

Looks like you got a better deal at my store than expected, Daryll!

It worked out well for both of us. Although... would you believe that later in the day someone came along with a gigantic C64 lot - two monitors (one boxed), three C64 systems (2 boxed), four 1541 drives (2 boxed), two boxes of miscellaneous hardware and a box of software (discs and carts). It took about an hour to test everything out. Between his trade-in and yours, I think I set a personal record for the store in time elapsed doing trade-ins!

Always worth it though. Enjoy your PS3.
