There are still a few issues, namely the lack of sound, and the emu isn't running at full speed, but it's a great start! Now how 'bout emulating some SNES?

It looked like the guy was only controlling the A and B buttons when playing Mario Bros, did anyone else see him running by himself?

my smartphone emulates nes at 100% speed and sound and it's actually easy to control with a directional button at the top. Castlevania 3 runs 100%.

Pretty neat how they have the actual nes controller built into the touchscreen.

Seriously though, this still isn't enough reason for me to rationalize $600 for a "phone" as I know I wouldn't honestly use it as much more than that.

Honestly I just don't like gaming on phones, unless it's some quick simple nothing game, and I like my portable mp3 player cause I don't care if it breaks so I treat it rough which is how a music player should be treated imo.

I'll stick to emu on my pc and psp for now, keep my mp3 player in my pocket and my phone at my side.

That touchscreen nes pad is way cool though.

Thanks for adding to the thread. You're really contributing.

I think the emulator is pretty neat. Especially if they get this tuned up right and can eventually emulate at 100%.

Now I just need an iPhone...:puppydogeyes:

Watch the video again. The emulator is running very slowly. I wouldn't be able to enjoy playing that.

Its the truth,, it sux,, the touch keyboard so small your always making mistakes, so forget texting. The 2mp camera doesnt even make videos. I tried it for 3 weeks and sold it to a friend.

Uh...how big are your fingers? The keyboard is just fine for me. Actually, I can't go back to texting on my LG VX8550 after using the touch screen keyboard on the iPhone. Yeah, the 2mp camera doesn't take video, but it pretty much blows all other phones out of the water feature wise.

To each his own I guess.;)

Though it's pretty neat it's already on there, I'm also not too suprised. Looking at the video it looks pretty poor and close to worthless. I'll take my DS or another handheld over some phone emu or games any day.

it does NOT blow all other phones feature wise. the only features it has that others dont, are incredibly worthless. swivel? screw that noise.

want a phone with more features and less $$?? eten m700 glofiish.

its not so much that the iphone sucks, its more that convergence sucks. convergence is why the PSP is underwhelming, its why the iphone is 600 dollars.

(the best 'feature' of the iphone is that its a hell of a lot more intuitive to use the advanced features, with the success of the ipod, youd think cell phone manufacturers wouldve tried to incorporate ease of use into their hardware designs before apple got into the market. i hope the next generation of cheaper model cell phones will grasp the idea that more buttons and menus of useless features are not what mainstream consumers want.)

as far as the technology goes, its very cool to see the emu with a simulated controller, but an actual controller would be more practical.

Ok? So the m700 has windows mobile. The iPhone does pretty much everything the glofiish does and has an iPod.

I'm really not looking to argue about phones here. I guess when it comes to the iPhone, like any Apple product, you either love it or hate it.
