20 gig hard no halo 3 game included. I think the halo brand is getting being pimped to dangerous levels. 3 different game sku's a halo zune. Now this and it isn't even a premium. Damm I would reather pay the extra for the 120 hdmi and game.

I mean when the halo 360 console was displayed at e3 there was no applause I found that quite telling and I know ms was embarrassed by the cold response.

I want one but the legendary is 129.00 it is either one or the other.

first it should be an Elite spec Xbox360, second the color combo is atrocious

not packing in the game doesn't really bother me, although because you can always buy the best version seperate like you would have to do with any other 360.

I like the overall concept, but the design is just ugly

it just doesn't make sense to have a halo3 edition console without the game included Like they did with the xbox halo edition. To this day I can honestly say I have never seen a special edition console not have the game packed in.

Has it been officially confirmed that they won't have a packin game? I mean that sounds too dumb to be true, hell they are giving away table tennis with some consoles, so why not throw in h3.... come on m$ dig deep.

I think it is because they expect someone who would buy a limited edition Halo console to buy the $130 Legendary version of the game that comes packed inside the master chief helmet.

But they let you make the choice.

It pisses me off that they only have the 3rd disk in the LEGENDARY package. I collect Bungie games, but I don't want some bulky, corny sculpture in order to have the best version of the software.

Its crazy if Halo 3 isnt included. If its true, i guess the reason is that they do everything they can to hold the price down on the console.

The "Halo Edition" original Xbox was much cooler. I've always regretted not picking one up.

Agreed, the xbox 1 version was pretty cool looking. A 20gig with no game and a ugly color scheme, no thanks.

Man I was pissed when they came out with that, because I knew I had to own one for posterity, so I grabbed 2, one to open and one I still have sealed..... :-)

It's been confirmed that there will be no game included, because this will allow the purchaser to decide which version of Halo 3 they would want, and not pigeon hole them into a version they don't want.

@gepeto, theres actually 2 Halo Zune SKU's now. A US Military only version was announced this last week as well.

That being said, I'm still looking at getting this thing, once I can actually find a retailer thats doing Pre-Orders on it.

i like it. its actually better than a premium. its 50 bucks more but comes with HDMI, a cool color scheme (my opinion) and some content installed on it already.

im also getting the halo 3 legendary box. if someone really wants the games but doesnt want hte sculpture you can always sell it on ebay, im sure there wont be a shortage of people really craving it.

Understood, but why can't they do something cool like a mail-in rebate if you buy any version of Halo 3 before X date?

Because they never do anything 'cool' like that. MS is hoping and expecting (rightly so) that Halo 3 is going to help get the into the black this year with the Xbox division. Doing a rebate is only going to add to their gajillion dollar writeoffs that the consoles are costing them, not to mention the fact that this is a Limited Edition System that isn't going to be very commonly found.

No there isn't. Unless they've gone and changed their minds from what has been previously announced. HDMI was not announced as part of what that would be included as part of this system bundle.

Ugh all this 360 crap is pissing me off. I'm hearing that all new Pro 360s have HDMI, that the Elite systems are the only ones with the good parts, etc.

On top of the shit price drop at that too.

As far as I know the Halo 360 does have an HDMI port and a 20 GB Hard Drive.

How limited is limited on these, anyway? Are we talking 10K, 100K, 1000K units?

I like my LEs, but only if they're really limited. If it's a situation where the LE is quite common I don't see the point -- like all the LE game editions that are as common as the standard version.

This is microsoft being stupid again. I LE version of the system without the game? cmon, that is LAME. By the end of the cycle of the 360, they are going to have like 40 SKUs for all the variants of the system.

I wonder what the attachment rate will be on people who buy Legendary and this, as opposed to people who just buy the console and one of the other versions. This console seems to be mainly geared at the folks who are buying the Legendary, but I'm sure MS won't care who buys it or not, it would be an interesting figure to compare.

I really love the way the Halo system looks, but I bought an Elite when it hit (and sold the 120gb HDD) so I could get the HDMI. Selling the Elite for the Halo system seems like a stupid idea.

I might pick it up, but $400 could be spent on much better things.

i know i know no matter the price me being the game buyin' aholic i am. i will be the one with the LE console and the LE game and 3 months later ill be still kicking myself in the head. for spend damn near 700$ on a game and console. i cant help it. if you read it does not say limited edition it says special edition on the console. so i dont expect it to be hard to find

Well since i have the Halo Edition Xbox,why not get the Halo 360,i mean im already getting the legendary version of Halo 3 so lol,least it has an HDMI port,but a 20GB Hard Drive,thats just wrong,noteing Halo 3 will have some kind of video save feature and videos take up space and.....yea.....nice Microsoft.....oh well,$50 for the pre-order done.

It doesn't save "videos" it saves "films" of the game. Huge difference.

Films will take less than 10 MB per match from what I've read.

If what they did in the Beta holds true, your only going to be able to save something like 8 videos and the ones that are still on my HD are small, somewhere in the 8mb range.
