I saw both of these games today at Best Buy and was wondering if they're any good? Chameleon looks like it could be fun, even though I'm sure what the point of the game is. Any help is appreciated.

If you mean Deep labyrinth, I have played it (probably a topic floating around here about it somewhere) but I can tell you I bough it for $30 new, totaly not worth it. Port of a cell phone game and it really shows, I played like 2-3 hours of it and its very forgetable, and very repetitive. However you can get the game for like $10 used at gamestop, I suppose its worth a try for that price.

Chameleon? Never heard of it on DS before.

Larbyrinth is like On the Ball for SNES. Also known as Cameltry. It's a kinda unique maze game where you rotate a maze to get a falling marble to the end. It's not that great, honestly.

Chameleon is a territory-claiming strategy game with special power-ups. I think this one is worth a try, definitely.

Yea, Chameleon looks the coolest out of the two. I might have to give that one a try soon. Thanks for the help and any other further help is appreciated.

BTW, I have Deep Labyrinth and don't like it much. It's an interesting concept for the DS but didn't do much for me.

FWIW, these are the Us versions of Kuru Kuru Chameleon DS and Mawashite Koron.

I recently ordered Labyrinth only to learn I already owned the Jp version...heh.

Labyrinth came out under the radar, like most games published by UFO, about a month ago. Chameleon was released this week.

Taito should have just told UFO to localize that game as Cameltry. It's basically the same thing, and that's why it's a no brainer purchase for me :D

Still no game play footage of Chameleon though. It looks like a slightly more complicated Honeycomb Beat from the screen shots. Can anyone verify this?

Chameleon sort of reminds me of a reworked version of Spot for NES, from what little of it I've played. Your job is to make your colored mass of chips larger than your opponent's.

So it's basically a version of Reversi?

No, but I definitely see some similarities here and there.
