Just a boxed Adventurevision and a complete RDI Halcyon. I don't think I have any actual games that would break that price point, but the complete Halcyon games might (not the disks that come up from time to time, but the disk and cartridge for them).
If you add in arcade machines, I have a South Park pin, Edot, and a Star Wars cockpit that all fall into this category. A couple others that come close, but unless the prices have spiked lately they would be below the 1k mark.
Dang, a complete Halcyon? I'm looking to acquire one of those in about 10 years; 15 years, tops. Check back with me in the early to mid 2020s.

I have a sealed original duck hunt. I that's probably the most valuable thing I have (no idea if its even anywhere close to 1000 though.)

Probably worth about $5. I'm sure you probably have something MUCH more valuable, whether it be a brand new PS3 game or something you just don't know the value of yet :)

Yeah, but we're talking about a sealed first party Nintendo title. Even Duck Hunt's gonna fetch a few bucks.
I have a sealed copy of Kirby's Adventure -- the US version, not the commonly found bilingual Canadian one, but I can't imagine it's worth $1000. Then again, I've never seen another on Ebay, after casually checking once every other month for the last couple years. Who knows?

Kirby's Adventure at $1000? Heck no, techno. A good bit of money? Indubitably.

We won't know unless one sells. Unless you've seen one sell recently, I'm not convinced one way or the other.

No, I think you're right -- that Duck Hunt is very likely worth a decent chunk of money.

Only the box is bilingual. I have a Canadian box and cart, and mine is English. Maybe the manual is bilingual, but I don't have it. (actually I bought it from a store that for whatever reason parted manuals from boxes and I stupidly didn't think to look in the box until sometime long after I bought it)
I'd guess the English Canadian version is at least a bit more valuable than the French, considering the French one can still be found sealed on ebay?
The French version was sold with a different box, that additionally a French warning that the text is in French. (though they only way to tell a cart-only copy apart is by the product code NES-KR for English and -K5 for French.)

PAL 32X copies of DarXide, Primal Rage and T-Mek. And a factory sealed Daytona Netlink Edition. Those are my over $1K games. I don't know if I'll buy any more in that range though since I'm getting tired of collecting.

That stuff is probably worth $250 - $500 each. Not bad at all.

It's for $162.58, so I guess that's the best estimate I have so far.

As well as a 'prototype' soccer (more of a pre-release version or engineering I suppose)
There's a 'Trivia & Stories' link on that page as well that has a picture of the Basketball game (still mounted to a plaque) being awarded to Howard Cohen by several VP types of Mattel and Nat'l Semiconductor.

ehh, most expensive systems valuewise i own are a psx desr 7000 & a this is cool smoke grey skeleton sega saturn worth about 400 & 2 to 250 on a good day respectively
as far as games, i own a couple 100 dollar ps1 games here and there but panzer dragoon saga is my most valuable game and as most of you already know, that thing comes nowhere near the $1000 mark
Earthbound is cheap:

Kirby I got for Euro 7 in 2010, maybe the PALversion is not rare

I imagine this would be a pretty exclusive club. I definitely ain't in it. I think my most valuable game at this point would be Zenki for PC-FX, which could get upwards of $300. As for my most valuable system, I don't even know.

Yeah this is an exclusive club. I don't have a lot that's worth a good chunk of money. My Vectrex would probably fetch $150 on a good day. That's my most valuable system. As for games, Plumbers Don't Wear Ties for the 3DO would probably fetch $60-$80.
Yup, I'm kind of embarrassed, although I do plan on getting Panzer Dragoon Saga in the next six months to a year.

Yeah, I don't think it is. I've seen sealed PAL copies, and I've seen sealed French copies, but I haven't seen a sealed US version for as long as I've been looking. And again, I'm not saying it's worth a grand, but it's gotta be worth at least a hundred or two, or possibly more, depending on who's buying that day.

I think I'm in a similar boat as you, with my Vectrex being near the top for a single item. Might also get a bit for my boxed Animaction or Pole Position, but I'm looking at approaching 100 there, not 1000.
Only other thing that comes to mind is my NES proto/review copy of StarForce. But I know there are others of these, so I'm sure it isn't near 1000.

My most expensive piece of gaming equipment...
a Modified PC Engine Duo-R (RGB out) - $250
It's priceless to me, but it costed about $180 for the bare system in 2006, and about $50 in circuit boards and chips for the amp and buffer... so $230 for parts and +20 for labor...:p

I have an old full BC PS3 upgraded to an 80GB hard drive. RGB + US hucard mod PC Engine Duo-R too.
For other rarities, my Urusei Yatsura Complete Music Box (no joke) has to be worth something. Oh and this huge Lum figure.

Thread back on track!
I've got some interesting PS stuff including a boxed US Yaroze w/ extra software and stuff, plus a DTL-H500C 'proto' controller. Both of which would break the $500 spot, but not the 1k spot.

I've shook hands with a guy with several games worth over $1000, on August 6, 2011. As for me, I don't plan on having a $1000 game for some time. I am planning on getting a CIB SG-1000 by the end of the year, worth about $500 on a good day to buy, and a Neo Geo AES, worth $200 any day of the week on eBay. Once I get out in the working world and start making those fat car safety engineer salaries here about 2015-2016 I should start getting a few $1000+ items... I'm going for a Halcyon and an NWC cart (don't care if it's gray or gold) between 2015-2025...

So what $1000+ games do you own?
Daytona USA Championship Circuit Netlink Edition for Sega Saturn, factory sealed.
Is there an interesting story that goes with it?
It was the last game I needed to complete my U.S. Saturn collection.
Did you pick it up cheap or pay the hefty price?
I got it from a reputable eBay seller on a BIN for $799.99. The same seller later sold another one in an auction-style listing for over $1100.
Do you play it or does it sit on a shelf?
It lives in a bomb shelter 500 ft. below the earth's surface.

I'm pretty sure WTTNL was just poking fun at my photo that included a bunch of superfluous stuff that is indeed worth almost nothing, in addition to the specific item I was talking about. I took it that way and thought it was pretty funny, hence our banter. Like you say, though, time to get back to the phat lewt!

What's sad is that I use to own games that are NOW worth 1k. Back in the day they were worth anywhere from $100-$500. Today, it seems prices are so inflated and it makes me sad (and disgusted) that I sold off some really valuable stuff back then.

I don't get anywhere near the mark. My most valuable console is probably actually my PS3, and other than that I guess the Astrocade can fetch a nice price. I have a CIB RCA Studio II, but I don't know how much those go for.
As far as games. I have one that breaks $200 sometimes, Panzer Dragoon Saga and a couple others that break $100 sometimes, Earthbound and Suikoden II.
