I know this isn't an Ebay transaction (this is from a different message board), but felt it would fit here better then off topic, mods feel free to do whatever with the thread.
About two weeks or so ago, I agreed with a message board user from Dreamcast-scene to sell them a couple Dreamcast accessories for $50 total. I was a bit late sending them (took me about 5 days after recieving payment), but did get sent out priority. I left for the shore later that day and stayed there for a while.
A couple days into it I get a message they had recieved the package and I forgot to leave a fishing reel controller in it. Fair enough, I told them I would send it when I get back as I was at the beach.. I get back like 5 days later, and have it sent off priority in a day or 2 from the time I arrive home. I did not think to use delievery confirmation on an item of such little value ($4).. But it looks like I should have. Right now they are threatening me with a paypal dispute for $50 over a $4 controller, and say if it isn't there by Monday, they will escalate it to a claim and will contact their credit card company.. It looks like they want $50 out of me for an item that cost $4 and will try milking it for what its worth.. Anyway, what will happen if they somehow do escalate it with paypal? I have a delievery confirmation # for the first package that I sent with the bulk of the goods in it, and wouldn't count on their credit card company doing anything over four dollars.
