Has anyone tried to play through Getsufuu Maden on the Famicom without knowing Japanese and had a good time of it? I was wondering if it would be like trying to play through Zelda without understanding the language which, for me, would suck. However, as this game is more platform oriented, I thought I would ask.

The themes and art look great. Just wanting to see if someone has an opinion.

have I got a surprise for you (http://www.romhacking.net/trans/151/)

the game looks pretty snazzy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATzx61CkELo). I may have to fire it up and check it out. Thanks for putting it on my radar :)

Damn, that is a funny friggin' review! Man, I need to remember to check YouTube more often. Too bad I can't get a cart in English tho'. Q_Q While the EMU is nice to be able to understand the story, I like the whole experience of playing on the console.

I must be old.

Thanks for the links!

Again, have I got a surprise for you (http://nesreproductions.com/). One of these days I'll find a spare Tecmo Superbowl to use as a donor cart for Chronicles of the Radia War (which is a hella, hella good game).

GoodNES torrents should include this hacked ROM (current is 313, I should go check it).

By the way, the box for this game is really cool, in case anybody out there still didn't know. It's got one of those old fashioned 3D picture style things (plastic grate which makes an image shift.

I need to trade my copy up to a better condition one, though...

Edit: Also, the items are completely necessary. I think you level your character up by collecting little falling things that pop out of enemies - or that might be life, I don't remember.

You can jump once at ANY time if you did not jump before, i.e. you can fall most of the way into a pit early on to collect a 1up, and then jump out of it.

The items are helpful in the 3D dungeon sequences!
