View Full Version : Complete franchise's (Sub-collection)

Who has a complete set of titles for one specific franchise for their specific region? Either all the games released in a specific series, or even better, every single release of the games within a franchise.

For example, The Legacy Of Kain series. Five games in total (Blood Omen; Soul Reaver; Soul Reaver II; Blood Omen II; And Defiance), but many more if you consider each and every release of these games for each console (Ie, PlayStation plus Dreamcast versions of Soul Reaver) ~ Even more impressive would be if you even owned all the Greatest Hits / Platinum variants as well!


Franchises which I own which I feel are "Complete" (To date) include:

Devil May Cry series (PAL region): DMC; DMC II; DMC III Limited Edition; Plus DMC III Special Edition (Missing Platinum versions and standard version of DMC III)

F Zero series (PAL region): F Zero (Snes); F Zero X (N64); F Zero GX (GameCube); F Zero Maximum Velocity (GBA); And F Zero GP Legend (GBA)

Donkey Konga series (PAL region): Donkey Konga; Donkey Konga II; Donkey Kong Jungle Beats

Guitar Hero series (PAL region): Guitar Hero (PS2); Guitar Hero II (PS2); Guitar Hero II (X360); Guitar Hero Rock's The 80's (PS2)


Collections I am close to a complete set include: Pokemon (Missing just 3 games to date!); Starfox (Missing just one game); Suikoden; Metroid; And Mario Party (I have 9 out of the ten Mario Party titles!!!)

Probably a lot because a thread like this gets started every few weeks or so. A recent one was about Resident Evil I believe.

I don't think Guitar Hero is there yet.

Also I think Donkey Konga is a sub-collection of the sub-collection Donkey Kong...

I'm one game short of having all the GBC Pokemon RPGs (Just need to get around to finding a copy of Silver...)

I would say perhaps three or four, with potential for more titles to carry on the franchise. It is safe to assume, for example, that the Parasite Eve games will not receive any more sequels, but I wouldn't consider this to be a sub-collection. Something which has unlimited possibilities I would consider though, which is why I would include Donkey Konga or Guitar Hero at this point, as there may be more games still in the future

Fair enough. Whilst not quite a sub-collection as such, the Guitar Hero games are still as complete as complete gets (At the moment), as I have all the released games so far, which span two consoles and four releases ~ With Guitar Hero III on the horizon for all three current consoles

I'm glad i'm not the only one! Lol! Silver is pretty easy to get though. I think I am setting my sights too high trying to find a sealed UK Pokemon Crystal, although I do know of at least three, so it's just a matter of time. Crystal is apparently quite hard to get hold of complete, let alone sealed! Lol!

even though theres other threads i'll chime in on this one. I have a complete US Guilty Gear collection and am slowly working on imports of the series. thats about it

way too many to count them all... Sonic comes to mind... I'm only missing a few Sonic games... Uno comes to mind also... I have all the Uno games for all the systems that I collect for... so I'm only missing a few of those as well...

I wouldn't go so far as to disgrace my collection with a bunch of GH games just so I could own every single variant ever made though... but I have alot of games that are just the same game on a different console... I like that...
