I recently acquired a complete in the box Steel Battalion set. The owner included all the cardboard pieces with it, but were separate. So I get it home and have no idea how to put it back together! Can someone give me instructions (or diagrams) on how to put this monster back in its home?

As far as I remember, the footpedals go right at the bottom, with the centre piece in the middle, and the left and right pieces go upside-down. I'm sorry that I can't be more help. I've only had to put it back in once, and it caused so much trouble that the next time I took it out, it stayed out, and I found a permanent home for it where it could be stored fully assembled without getting damaged or dusty. Space it seems, is a premium when you have to find somewhere for a Steel Battalion controller to live in your home!!! Lol!
Step by step photo's of how it comes out and goes back in would be great though!

A diagram on how to do this would be nice. I havent been able to put the controller back in the box since I bought the damn thing when it first came out.

I think you need a steel battallion to actually roll over your controller to get it back into the box. That or lots of free time and 3-d puzzle skills.

I've had this traded into the store three times since I've opened and in each case I *required* that the customer trade it in once it's in the box. I learned my lesson after trying to put one back in there myself after a CGE several years back. What we really need is a youtube video here.

Yeah I gave up. I just keep mine out on top of the TV. I wish I had a cover for it to protect it from the dust though. But it looks really bitchen on the tv.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I was actually going to get one of these off ebay soon. I'll pay very close attention to the way I take it out of the box.

I knew you wouldn't be able to do it Chris! That's what happens when you are a gypsy!
Hmm...you could hire a team of engineers to work night and day for a while to get it back inside the box. Or you could call capcom and ask them how to put it in the box? Sounds like a good idea to me. "Thank you for calling the 'How to put your Steel Battalion controller back in the box' hotline, Nina speaking, Just a moment."

Did you pack / unpack it upside-down? I am pretty 99% sure that the footpedals go at the bottom, and the left / right sides go in upside-down on top, with the manual and game laying on top. Plus, the pedals are heavy, so should go at the bottom
