So I picked this lot up off craigslist for 280. I made the mistake of getting excited and not checking to make sure everything has its case/manual before meeting up with them, and they drove quite a ways to meet me. Thus, many of the PSX games are missing their cases/manuals, and are not in the greatest shape, but are still playable. Do I just have buyer's remorse?... I don't often spend this much in one chunk.

I think you overpayed a little, depends greatly on how scratched some of those rares are., still a decent amount of rares/good games though if you bought it to collect I think it was too muc, to play? a decent enough deal.

and if you want to unload the suikoden 2 let me know, i'm in the market for a copy to play not a mint collectable cop)

yeah, you overpaid. if I were to buy that lot I wouldn't pay more than $220. but like blitzwing said, if you got them to play you got some nice games.

I too would be interested in suikoden 2 by the way.

Heh, the old EB "I don't give a shit which discs you get, I just pull them out of the drawer randomly" used game.

Yes, you definitely overpaid.

Ah well. Them's the breaks. :embarrassed: I did want a slim PS2, the fatty is just too loud. Is there a reason to keep the fatty other than possibly FFXI? I bought with the intent to play the expensive games, not to resell them, at least not for a while. I will be selling a bunch of the other games, though. I figure I'll make up enough of the cost so that the effective price of those games I wanted is still something I would pay. Oh, and does anybody know anything about the memory expansion disc? I imagine at best it slows down saving/loading but otherwise is as advertised. Anyone use this?

Anybody need a disc w/ manual copy of Family Card Games?

Bottom line is, obviously you were willing to pay that amount so regardless of the opinion that you overpaid, you shouldn't feel bad for what you got.

As for the fatty PS2, HDLoader is the best reason to hang on to one. Even with a PS3, I'm still reluctant to give my PS2 the boot as I've gotten so spolied having all my games on the HDD.

Forgive me if this is dumb, but I've only had a PS2 for about 2 months: Do you need a particular HDD. I'd assume at least a laptop drive. And I gather HDLoader just lets you copy games you own to the HDD? Even as nice as it sounds to be rid of load times, I've finally gotten my living room quiet with a water cooled PC, so I doubt I could stand the PS2 noise.
