Anyone know what this was supposed to be? I'm flipping through an old issue of VG&CE (November '90) and there's an ad for it and a small preview amongst a ton of others. Looked like an an action platformer, an it was made by Treco.
Was it not released at all or was it retitled?

I remember that ad! It had no screenshots and I had no idea what the game was supposed to be about. The ad made it sound cool, but most of the games Treco released were pretty bad. I don't know what ever came of it.

From the one screenshot I remember from EGM back in 1990, it looked like Cadash. I was looking forward to it but it quietly disappeared.

Looks like it had its name changed (http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7401) but still never came out. Some proto hoarder/investor probably has a copy of it but refuses to dump it.

This game never came out and the rom hasnt been found yet. Same story than with STAR ODDISSEY for genesis, the game than even had magazine ads and still got lost in time...

Already got it on a list of Rumor Mill titles waiting to be added to the DP database :) Dunno when that'll happen though, cos it's the Classic-era stuff that's the priority at the mo...

I think they changed the name from Dando and said it was still going to be released. Then....never relased...

Now that's not fair. Warsong was a great game. And... umm... Sorcerer's Kingdom wasn't that bad.

Yeah, I'll give you Warsong. But I'm haunted by memories of their little-dick version of Street Smarts for the Genesis.

Does anyone know who the developer was? Where it was from, I mean.
There's tons of bootleg / pirate originals for the Genesis down in Korea, so maybe it got released down there.

The developer in Japan was Treco. I have a magazine with some more screenshots of it. It looks a lot like the Legendary Axe to me, what with the look of the main character. :-)

Chris if you have them I'd love to see the other screenshots of Dando.
Dando was titled (or retitled) 'Vasum' on the MegaDrive in Japan, though it still never came out, even there.
