I'm looking for a new console to get and collect for. I've only ever played Turbografx-16 once, and that was Splatterhouse. So I have a few questions.
How much should I pay? Loose/CIB
What games should I look into?
Also if anyone here on DP is selling a Turbografx-16 PM me.

My attitude for what should I pay for a system is whatever I feel comfortable paying. Prices for a tg-16 can range anyway from next to free from a garage sale to over a 100$ from some wanker who owns a game store. I think the 35$ price in the DP guide is pretty close to the collector's value of a TG16.
Here's a good thread on suggested TG16 games:

Thanks for the information. I'll check out the TG16 game thread.

I traded my last extra Turbo Grafx for Earthbound SNES. It's pretty easy to get $45 for a basic Turbo Grafx with all the cords and no games. So if you pay less than that you are doing good.

That said, the Turbo is so good that you'll eventually want the cd add-on. Also it's similar to the Saturn and Dreamcast in that several of the best games for the cd add-on didn't make it here.
It sounds like I'm getting ahead of the point but the lure of the cd system catches everyone with a Turbo Graphx. ;)
Also, remember that Turbo Technologies Inc. (TTi) still exists today as Turbo Zone Direct.

Basically, you'll go to their catalog and think the prices are kind of high, then realize that they are the official US Turbo company and that everything they sell is totally brand new. It doesn't get more official than this (though they do sell some more recent homebrew stuff like Meteor Blaster DX).
Most of their games are for the cd system but they usually have all the Turbo Graphx accessories you could possibly want.
