What Are These 2 Quickshot Controllers?

I picked up these 2 controllers and have no idea what they are for. The 1st appears to have a NES type controller plug:

The second one has an Atari/Genesis type plug:

I want to know what games/system they are for, as well as if they are particuarly hard to find. Thanks for the help in advance!

First one is a 3rd party NES controller that can be used like NES controller. It's not really a trackball even though it looks like on.

The second one is for Genesis and could be used with any games although I suspect it plays well with any simulation games that has first person view. (Afterburner comes to mind)
