The Postal Movie is Really Bad [Slashdot]

Chris Kohler and Chris Baker of Wired had the deeply unfortunate task of watching Uwe Boll's latest affront to cinema and gaming: Postal. Kohler has a rundown on the exceedingly strange movie and its premiere. "Boll seems out to shock his audience into stunned disbelief rather than actually entertain them. Early in the movie, we get a long, leisurely shot of a fully nude Foley scratching his reproductive organs. I don't want to sound like I personally was offended or shocked by anything. In fact, the only time I laughed was during the movie's opening sequence, a comedy skit in the cockpit of one of the September 11 airplanes (they're fighting over the number of virgins they get in Paradise). It was legitimately well-paced and funny. But it was followed by 90 minutes of flat jokes." Yeah, Postal is going to suck, and nobody will be surprised.

Fortunately, there's two other movies based on video games that are coming out around the same time as this - Resident Evil: Extinction on Sept 21st and Hitman is due in October. I'm sure neither will be that great, but hey, at least there's something besides Postal.

DP ServBot This ain't News. We all knew that The Postal Movie is Really Bad from the first time it was anounced, and that Uwe Boll was directing.

Well by default poor ol ServBot dumps all threads here (modern gaming), however they are left as 'moderated' or unseen until someone opens them for viewing (assuming its worth opening) or hasn't already got a topic started on it. So if anything whoever opened if for viewing should be to blame, but this is a Uwe Boll film and by default he is to blame for this travesty ever even being made.

I'm more than glad to kick this over to the cinema forum so I don't even have to think about this movie ever again.
