Ok, well with the release of the new slim PSP coming soon, I am going to try to approach a complete Metal Gear collection. I know some people have to have some nice Metal Gear collections, so post what you got (Pictures if you can!)

I don't intend to try to get every version of every game (too many), but I am still deciding on my want list. I am only interested in the Japanese releases.

Currently I have a complete Metal Gear for Famicom, complete Metal Gear Integral for PS1, complete Document of Metal Gear Solid 2, and a complete Metal Gear Ghost Babel.

I need to pick up one of the versions of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. There are so many out there though, I am having a difficult time deciding. I will probably end up going for the slip-cover versions of MGS2 Subsistence and MGS3 Subsistence.

Once the slim PSP drops, I'm going to get all 4 Metal Gear games for the system.

I know they have those crazy collector's versions of the first 3 Metal Gear Solid games, but it sucks that they are not even the definitive version of the software (non integral / non subsistence). I am not really to crazy about having all those gimmicky extras either. But I am sure there is some insane collector out there with the Metal Gear GC, Metal Gear PSP Pack, all three collector's deluxe packs, and the new anniversary box set.

Lastly, as soon as I can find the MSX model that I am looking for, I will be tracking down (and paying out the ass) the Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 for MSX.

I look forward to hearing from other Metal Gear collectors!

Wow...now that IS a really nice collection. Luckily, I am not interested in obtaining all the variants/toys/books as well as every region of every game. I'm just going for the "Best Japanese Version of Every Metal Gear Game" type of deal. Really nice link though, thanks!

LMFAO @ the Snake's Revenge Tiger handheld. Could it be any worse than the NES version?

Sort of on topic, but does anyone have the FoxHound Gamecube that came out in Japan when Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes was released? It comes with the original Metal Gear on a Gamecube disk. I was curious if the version on said disk is the Famicom game itself or if it's based on the cell phone version of the game like the one on the Subsistence disk (new Codec artwork/etc.).

The other day I found a Spanish (as in, from Spain) MGS1 strategy guide in my house. I keep wondering if it's worth anything, it's got tons of concept art I haven't seen anywhere else...

That linked collection was incredible... though I think he was missing the computer versions of Metal Gear (C64 and PC). As stated he has the Cube bonus disc but not the full console set...

As far as I could tell from the brief playthrough I gave it, it's the original Famicom version.

//awaits someone to correct him though...

I remember reading on National Console Support's website when the system first came out that it was the Famicom version.
