Hey guys,
I recently imported breath of fire (I live in the UK).
I have an adapter so i can play foreign cartriges on my PAL snes,
however All i get when i try to use it, is a black screen.

I am using a TV which can only support 50htz (not 60)
And i was wondering if you required a 60htz TV to play NTSC-U games?

Thanks, lozz.

Is it an adapter that has 2 cart connectors? You place the import cart in the top slot, and then any PAL game in the back slot. If the adapter only has one slot, that usually means it is only a USA-JPN converter, and can't be used for playing NTSC games on a PAL system.

If you do have the correct adapter, clean all the connectors on the adapter, the game, and the system with a SNES cleaning kit. It's easy to get a blank screen with these adapters simply because they add a few more connections between the game and system.

As TheMot said, I'd bank on most likely the converter isn't liking it.

Hey guys,
I've got it working now.
I read up and heard that you had to put the NTSC cart in the front slot,
and have a PAL cart in the back one to bypass the region lockout.

thanks, lozz.
