I am wondering what the barcode for the new HDMI $350 model is. I was hoping that it would be the same as the old version but it is not. I know this is a bit controversial, but I was hoping to swap the 360 I just bought last Friday on sale, which has never been opened, with this updated revision. If I can't find the newer version at Meijer in the next few days, I will have to somehow swap it at a different store. Has anybody had any luck with anything like this?

I got a dumb question concerning the 360. Will it be possible to tell which Models will have the 65nm chip just by the box? On the Premium, it would be the "HDMI" tag or whatever they added. What about the Elite? I plan on getting an Elite, and I want one with the Falcon chips.

Then again, I suppose I could take the console out of the box, check the manufacture date, and if it's not a Falcon model take it back to the store for a correct one....

The ones with HDMI are clearly labeled on the side of the box where it lists the contents. If you don't see it, it doesn't have it.

None of them have the 65nm chip yet. Maybe later this year.

Yeah, the only thing the new models have are new DVD drives and HDMI. (and I think another heatsink)

I knew that. I'm just waiting until I know they're available, and how to spot them from the original models.

I'm thinking of doing this as well, I have a core unit Xbox 360.

Reading someplace on here people were saying Best Buy no longer has the cores. I purchased a 2 yr plan on it and have been getting the DRE's.

Anyone know off hand what Best Buy does in this situation? Would they just refund the cash? I wouldn't think they'd give me the next model up for free. Pay the difference most likely, but if this is the case I'd much love a HDMI version. Especially seeing all the shit I've gone through with the broken units.

I bought mine at BB and the 2 yr plan. They told me if a different model came out i could bring it back and get the new, paying the difference of what i paid for mine. That is what i plan on doing with mine but not till late in the year when the new chips are rumored to start being put in them.

Stupid Question but doesn't the elites have the new chip set in them already?

Thanks in advance

As far as I know Elites do not have new chips in them, all they have is the guaranteed HDMI and the bigger HD's.

As for the BB plan, thanks for the info, I guess I should hold out as well for the newer chips. No sense turning it in now and not getting what I want.
