My brother and his wife have been helping me straighten up my apartment as I get ready to move back in (I've been away just over a month due to recent heart surgery). I've been kind of shocked at all the stuff I own (probably even more than they have) so when Donna mentioned a neighbor of hers would take a few PS2 games if I wanted to part with any, I told her to give my entire collection (about 46 games) to him. I never really got into that system all that much and probably won't miss them.

I will probably be divesting myself of at least another handful of systems and will doubtless prune the collections that I do plan to keep. I'll just keep the games I know I will want to play in the future.

Well that was mighty white of you, good sir.

I'm not too huge on selling old stuff and more often than not prefer to give it away to someone who'd appreciate it, but I've never parted with anything of that size before. Nothing even close, really.

Got any Xbox games you want to part with? :)

Just kidding I couldn't resist. That's a shame that you couldn't get into the PS2. Really one of the best systems ever made.

Just recently I've been buying Xbox titles as opposed to the PS2 versions. Prior to that it was PS2 all the way.

You gave away your PS2 games...but kept all your Gamecube stuff? Hmmm...something is wrong with that logic. At least you're way ahead of most people in the good karma department.

I actually may have a few XBox games I wouldn't mind parting with...some I don't care for and some I have for it that I have versions of for the GameCube. I don't really need the same game on more than one system. If you're interested, I can IM you about it next week once I'm settled back home.

And yes, I know the GameCube isn't the greatest system ever made but there's something about it that appeals to me.

Yes, I did have a lot of games for it, I admit. But some I had hardly played. I just want to cut down eventually to a handful of systems or so.

And I live in West Virginia...

That was sweet of you man. You should stop by this persons house later on and see how he's enjoying them, maybe play a game or two of co-op. It's good to know you'll be keeping those GC games though!

About the PS2 games, there really aren't too many games that appeal to me on the system, I guess mainly because most of it has already been done on the PSX. As for handing out games, I rarely do it because most people I know don't own classic systems and if they do they've already got or don't want the extras I have. More times then not I'll just sell them to a local store owner that resells used games really low-priced so I know at least someone will get it without being killed like on eBay. As I stated before in the "finds" thread, I sold him a SMB3 cart for $4 and he'll sell it for $6, whereas on eBay it's still $10+ shipped and some places down the road are selling copies for $10-20...

If I were you, I'd poke around online for any local children's hospitals or other facilities that you could donate games and/or consoles to. Instead of helping out one neighbor, you could be helping out hundreds of kids.

Oh no I was just kidding, if you part with some Xbox games give 'em to someone who needs them. I have enough stuff as it is :)
