If anybody has had mild interest in the PS3, but needed something to really push them over the edge in terms of getting them to buy one, then the current deal being offered via the Sony Style store is pretty hard to beat. It seems that if you have A1 yola credit, then you can apply for the Sony Credit Card, and you get $150 rebate off your first purcahse with the card. You can use it to buy the $499.99 PS3 system. Not only that, but you would also be eligible for the 5 free Blu Ray movie deal. Of course, the key factor would be to pay off the card in full, before the 1 year no interest deal is over. Also, I'm not sure if they charge an annual fee for using the card or not. I think the rebate comes as a credit to your credit card, so basically, pay off the entire balace except $150, and then wait for the rebate credit, and pay off the final $150 portion.

Whenever I see deals like this, it makes me a bit sad that I bought the 60 gigger on day 1 for $599.99 plus tax. Oh well, such is the life of an early adopter.

oops. I made a mistake on the title of this thread. It's supposed to read "60 gig PS3 for $350 plus 5 free Blu Ray movies"

That's on hell of a deal. My brother was thinking about getting a PS3. I'll let him know of this information so if he does decide to get one, he can get an excellent deal on it. Hell, this will probably influence him to buy it. Thanks man.

Having taken advantage of this deal months ago, let me just say that you can buy whatever you want with the credit.

Simply make a purchase (I bought groceries) and the $150 credit will show up on your card by your next statement. So, the next $150 you charge to the card is covered by Sony.

It's a free 150 dollars. Why wouldn't you do it?

Wow, that is pretty cool, especially with the games. Seeing that there are only about 5 games worth playing on the PS3, that'll do ya until MGS4.

It's actually 5 free Blu Ray movies, not games. I made a mistake on that on my title, and I don't know how to change it. Also, you have to pick the 5 free Blu Ray movies from a list, and it's a relatively crappy selection. But still, 5 free Blu Ray's is better than nothin.

Yeah the selection was pretty bad, but free is free. I'm still waiting for my 5 to arrive. :)
