I play a lot of DDR and I've been seriously been thinking about buying a full size dance machine. I don't think I'd be able to afford a DDR one (cheapest I've seen was $6,000) but I've seen several versions of Pump It Up sell in the $2,000 range which is something I'd be able to afford.

The problem is I can't find any dealers in the US that have them for sale. Are there any that specialize in them? There's plenty of Asian stores online like coinopexpress that sell them at decent prices, but I think the freight costs from Hong Kong would be more than the game itself.

NEVER Buy a game straight from a distributor, unless you're on your last leg, or they're getting out of the biz.

Always check out Ebay, Craigslist, and the usenet before you go to a store to buy an arcade game - Brick & moartar or online.

Trust me, you'll save a ton of money, that way. And DDR and it's clones, do fairly well in arcades, so they may still be pretty expensive.

Yeah, after seeing some US distributor prices, I pretty much figured it'd be pointless to buy thru them ($1,800 for a shitty Ms. Pac-Man cab??). This coinopexpress.com place has some really good prices though. $2,500 for PIU Premier 2 but the shipping would pretty much kill the deal I imagine. Guess I'll just have to luck out and hope I see one one Ebay or Craig's for sale near me.

You can also check out some auctions if there's any near you... there's a few in Indy and Columbus: http://www.usamusement.com/calendar.html , and Super Auctions has a bunch: http://www.superauctions.com/launch/cal/index.html , even one in Kalamazoo earlier this year, so they may be going back. Of course there's no guarantee that they'll have the machine, or that it'll go cheap, but the several times that I've seen them at auctions they've gone for $1000-$1500.
