I was at TRU earlier today, browsing the Gamecube section, and as I passed the space where they usually had a few copies of Mario Mix, I noticed it was empty. I kept passing until I did a double take on the price tag on the shelf... $9.90.

Now, more than likey, any copies that have been clearanced have been snatched up by eBay hawks or TRU employees by now, but it's certainly worth a shot at your local store.

Slightly off topic, when's the last time TRU had a fire sale? I miss those days of 90% off green tags. You would think that they would be trying to get rid of all these last gen titles pretty soon...

Clearance is at 20% off right now, so that Mario DDR would have been cheaper than that.

It could have also been a return. Keep that in mind. I don't see that price listed anywhere else, and the store manager can mark stuff down in cases like that. Still, if it is a drop, it's worth looking for.

Damn, thats cheap. Tomorro I'm going to the city for an apointment, so I can actually stop by Toys R' Us and see if they have any copies. Hopefully they do, I could pick up three or four copies and sell a few on Ebay maybe.

I think '05 was the last good one. I blame the buyout on spoiling all of the fun :(

At least Circuit City still has good sales each year, but those TRU green tag / red tag sales were just fucking awesome, especially since they'd generally have a buy 2 get 1 free sale going on around the same time and you could stack shit all weird, like buying two green tagged $40 games for half off and getting a non-tagged $40 game for free.
