I have consulted this list many times. Now it is up for deletion. Perhaps we should defend this poor article from being deleted, my DP friends?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/List_of_video_game_collector_and_limited_editions# .5B.5BList_of_video_game_collector_and_limited_edi tions.5D.5D
If it does get deleted, is there an alternate resource somewhere that's as easy and as thorough as this article to use?

Just goes to show that Wikipedia gets trolled by complete asshats out to piss on everyone else's parade. Let's not forget that the person that created the AfD saying that it was worthless was also responsible for writing an article on YTMND (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YTMND).
I think the article in question isn't bad, but it desperately needs to be cleaned up and fleshed out. Stuff like Phantom Brave doesn't belong on the list, but should perhaps be included towards the bottom in a separate section of games that are called Special Editions but don't have a normal edition or some such.
The article also needs a bunch more references.
Fuck it, if you like, I can mirror the present article on my own wiki for you.

There is a normal edition of Phantom Brave. It's hard to tell because the only way to tell the special edition apart from the normal one without opening the box is looking at the back of the DVD case: the version with the soundtrack has a small bar saying it's the special edition: the normal release does not.

Really? Weird. I've never seen a non-SE in the wild...seems like every one I stumble across has the faint "Special Edition" on the back and I've never heard of one that didn't include the soundtrack. Thanks for the heads up on that sucker.
Also, I need to get the cite plugin working a bit better, but here's a copy (http://wiki.roushimsx.com/index.php?title=List_of_Video_Game_Collector_and_L imited_Editions) of the article in question. Let 'em delete it. Fuck it.
I most certainly think we should vote and keep it. I'm trying to collect all the xbox games possible and this list would greatly come in handy. I need to know more info about what came with the special edition to know if I have a "Complete" game or not. Coin? Special Map? Bonus DVD? Extra Lvls?
By the way, I'm up to 410 unique titles and I'm missing several of the more uncommon ones such as Driver: Parallel Lines and all four Mortal Kombats.
This is definetly a page for collectors. Needs updateing and more info, but very interesting.

Seems kind of outside of the scope of Wikipedia to me. Despite it being useful to people like us, I can understand why it's up for deletion. If you disagree, then why not make a site of your own with this information? Hell, something like that would be a good fit right here on DP.

Then they should delete the lists of all PC, GH, and whatnot. I like it and think it should stay.

Well, if you think that, maybe you should note that on Wikipedia...it's currently outnumbered, five in favor of deleting, and two in favor of keeping.

Hell, I think that's a great idea. I'd even be up for a list of POGs for every game.
I may have an account, i'll see if I can't comment.

It's not as if it's a definitive list or anything though. I have created a much more indepth list HERE (http://www.gamestm.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=349)
