final fantasy 7 help

ok so I found my psx memory card with my old FF7 save from last year. I am totally lost as to what Im supposed to do next.

My guys are all level 51-55, I have Yuffie, Aeris is dead and I believe the last thing I did was the submarine battle, but then again, its been a year and this is my 2nd run through the game, so I really don't know what I did last.

-theres nothing for me to do in the observation tower in Red XIII's old town. The grandfather is not in the tower and theres Huge Materia everywhere in there.

-Everyone on the airship is still discussing Aeris' death, which would mean that that was the last thing that happened?

-I know this for sure, cloud has already come back from his Coma.


Any ideas? Im totally lost!

I think you need to go to the City of the Ancients and meet Grandpa there. You'll also need the key that's in the water near Junon.

I'd probably second vultar. I know that you need the key to the city, which is located in a northeastern area underwater, which can be reached with the submarine.

I know you also have to check the downed Shinra sub right after the sub mini-game, as I remember not doing so and spending quite awhile realizing that I had to do that to progress. By the sound of things though, I think you're past that.
