Wow, what a nice pirate, they even went out of their way to change the title screen.

Unfortunately, I only 4 pal carts to compare with, but there are plenty of discrepencies.

The serial code is quite blurred, but it doesn't appear to match the SNSP-A3DP-XXX it should be.

The Nintendo seal of quality is more rounded on pal carts than that, and it should be smaller.

There is no mention of Square on the cart.

Seiken Densetsu 3 was not released outside of Japan (this is obvious). Also Secret of Mana 2 is a name that has popped up over the past few years to describe Seiken Densetsu 3, and I doubt they would have called it that in reality (considering it is the third game in the series, Final Fantasy Adventure being the first).

I'll probably put up a page on this on my website sometime in the future.

Edit: I took a closer look at my Mystic Quest Legend cart (Final Fantasy Mystic Quest in the US), and it doesn't have a mention of Square on it as it was released by Nintendo... if somone has a cart with a serial code with the end code -NOE, I could make a better comparison, as my MQL cart has the "Pal Version" under the Super Nintendo logo (it is an England thing), and my Dutch carts do not have any indicator saying "Pal Version".

I have done some research, and I have found the following discrepencies:

NOE region games (ie German region games), have a distinct layout of the label:

1) The 4 coloured logo should be on the bottom left corner.

2) The Super Nintendo Logo should be on the top left corner.

3) The Nintendo Logo should be on the top right corner.

4) As before, the Nintendo Seal of Quality should be more round. The more oval seal is only on games from North America

5) The "Pal Version" indicator is in the correct spot

6) The colour of the font used for the title is the same as it was in Seiken Densetsu 3, but the one on the cart looks pretty Photoshopped (with the white outline)

i happen to have the original seiken densetsu 3 cause im a fan of the series.
the japanese original also has this white outline around the logo and
the european secret of mana didnt have a squaresoft logo on the label either,it was published by nintendo.
the original product code is shvc-a3dj-jpn.
who cares,it looks nice to me anyway ;)

Secret of Mana and Mystic Quest Legend were both published by Nintendo in Europe, hence the lack of Square logo.

The design is purely dependent on the region it was released in. All carts released in a particular region will have the same design, and the one on this pirate is not the same as other German released... sometime when I have time, I will make a record of the differences and put it on my site.
