anyone know how to make genesis work with the wintv hvr1600?

I thought these things were generally pretty straightforward. What have you tried so far?

I've heard a lot of people having problems getting their genesis to work with a capture card. Something about the signal the system kicks out being too weak or something or other.
If you try composite and RF w/ DScaler and can't get any lovin', then I don't know what else to try other than to join the legions of other Genesis + capture card owners :(

I've never tried one...would be interesting to hear if it helped people out. The only reason I can think to use one is for Virtua Racing, though.

got it working (somewhat)....what you do is go to the hauppauge support site, clock on wintv go-plus-fm....and download the older version of wintv 2000....it was 4.12 i believe i got....it just doesnt have color....and its a secon behind the button pressing....but progress has been made folks.
