While his mother was away the boy had taken the power supply and wrapped it in plastic and tape. In an attempt to cool it off, he submerged it into a pan of water with the cord still plugged in.

Me, too. The idea of a thread suggesting this makes me think of an EGM review from 4-5 years back in which the reviewer accuses 989 Sports of being "reduced to simian chimps cobbling together code", or something like that, in response to a particularly bad PS2 college basketball title.
