Best posistion for the Wii to be in?

Like the 360, does it matter? I've heard about things going wrong when the 360 is verticle, and was wondering if it also applies to the Wii.

In my case, the wii runs pretty hot even when not in use. So i layed it down flat. A nintedo rep recommended that to me. It stays a little cooler because the fan is on the side now rather than underneath.

I thought the same thing, so there goes that "great minds" theory...

From a thermodynamics point of view, it's better to have the system laying flat. For a drive motor point of view, it's better to be vertical (not by much though). Since the drive motor should really last longer then your lifetime, that's kind of a moot point anyway.

If you're concerned, lay it flat. It doesn't really matter tho.
