Has anyone had this 360 issue before?

It just started doing this yesterday. I get random green lines going down my screen when I am playing a game. It sort of looks like the matrix. This happens during demos, XBL arcade, and regular games. Yet, the funny thing is that when I pull down the blade, they look completely normal. Unaffected by the matrix effect. Here is a picture I took.

Right before my friend's 360 died, he started getting a similar effect but it was purple lines.. eventually, his video died (but the 360 still had sound and booted up properly). Hopefully that's not it in your case :)

Check the video cable and try adjusting your video settings and see if that makes it better.

Your system is about to die (video error). Sadly its NOT covered by the new warranty extention. I just had my system replaced for the same issue; luckily (or not) my 360 was just 3 months old.

Is it just the rings of death that allows for the extended warranty? You could always wrap the thing in a towel and fire it up for a bit to get to that point :)
