Is there a list of DS games that activate special functions if there is a specific GBA game present in the GBA slot?
I can think of:
Advance Wars: Dual Strike (extras if you have Advance Wars 1 and 2 in the GBA slot)
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (extras if you have Castlevania Aria of Sorrow)
What other DS games have unlockables when there is a specific GBA game in?

Warioware Touched gives an extra bonus game if Twisted is in the cartridge slot, so I've heard, but this hasn't actually happened to me (possibly because my games are different regions).

In reverse, among the Japanese-only titles, the expansion for Daigasso! Band Bros. took the form of a GBA cart that required the main game on DS card in order to be played.

Indeed we should. I didn't even know about this. Post more!!
Also, does anyone know if the Castelvania Double Pack can be used like this or does it have to be the original cart? Thanks!

I don't know if this would count or not but the rumble pak with Metroid Prime Pinball is another one.

I wouldn't really count the Rumble Pack games; the Rumble Pack itself doesn't actually do anything in a GBA on its own.

Actually, it's just a little Mona Pizza music video, featuring the jingle from Twisted. Kinda cool, but not really interactive. Probably on YouTube by now.
According to GameFAQs, the Japanese version requires you to have both Twisted and the original Mega Microgame$ in the two cartridge slots of the original DS.
The Japanese version of Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime also apparently has a tank that can only be unlocked if you have the GBA Rocket Slime game. Since said GBA game was not released in North America, this tank ("Giggles") is available just by talking to a character in the game.
The Japanese version of Phoenix Wright (i.e. the DS version) would also instantly unlock the last case if you had the GBA version inserted.

If GBA Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town cartridge is inserted when Playing Harvest Moon DS, you have the neighbors of Mineral Town on specific places on certain hours. I have not tried it with More Friends of Mineral Town though but I guess it should work too.

Didn't one of the Castlevania DS games let you start out with a special item (like a ring or something) if you had a GBA Castlevania game in the cart slot?

Sorry but I don't understand what you mean - these are both GBA games, how could they be in a DS at the same time?

And if they're both GBA titles and theres only one GBA cartridge slot on the DS, you can't have both plugged in. The second cartridge slot is for DS titles.

Oh dash. I could have sworn the original DS had two GBA slots for some reason, but looking around right now I cannot seem to find information to back that up. It would appear I am gravely mistaken. How on earth did I get that impression?

Maybe you confused it with the original Game.com, which had two cartridge slots and a touch screen. :p

Well there is also the Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team. There were many games that could sync up with MMBN5. Virtually any of the GBA MMBN games except 6 of course, and even Boktai 1, 2, and 3 would do various things. They could alter the music playing, unlock chip folders from other characters, power up certain characters, and even be used for cross over points. This is game probably has the most extras I have seen on a DS game using the GBA feature.
Another game that can sync up with the GBA games is Lunar Knights. You can unlock three extra sound tests by inserting Boktai 1, 2, or 3 into the system. This also gives you three different light sensors, depending on which game you inserted when you booted up your DS. Boktai 1 helped charge your energy depending on the sunlight and your solar station. Boktai 2 helped charge your Life depending on the sunlight and your solar station also. And Boktai 3 helped charge your Trance Meter depending on the sunlight and once again your solar station.
Also with Dawn of Sorrow if you try to put the Castlevania Double Pack instead of the original Aria of Sorrow Cart, you will not get the rare ring at thet begining of the game or you will not be able to see a small doll of Mina in the Synthesis shop.
