I'd love to see how they pull this one off. I'm sure Uwe Boll is slated to direct, which means no one will see it.

(sorry - I didn't know if this should go in the classic games section or the movie section)

If I wait in line* for hours to be the first to see this movie, and just sit there and do nothing in the meantime, will a pterodactyl come outta nowhere and attack me?

* on line, for you northeasterners.

Is this a hoax?

If not, maybe it can be combined with Armadillo Knight...hey, can't be any sillier an idea.

I can only just barely believe this.

But really, it does make sense on some levels. There have been lengthy series based off far worse ideas than space knights riding around on flying ostritches. In fact, there may have been a time when I was young that I suspected it actually was based on a movie of some sort. It could even work as live-action camp.

I know it's weird, but I keep hoping the film will be all stop-motion animation. I'm not sure why. Other than the fact that retail work has driven me insane, of course.

I think the movie would just be easier to make as a Robot Chicken episode.

I'd pay to see the pterodactyl come in and eat everyone about 5 minutes into the movie...

That would be awesome!! I would pay to see that. Maybe Uwe Boll can play one of the victims.

Well, John Newcomer's (Joust creator) wanted to make a Joust movie for years. I guess he's getting his wish.

space knights riding around on flying ostritches. Sounds like a cross between a Jim Henson/Frank Oz creation and a Terry Gilliam film.

I can so vividly imagine a violent collision followed by a ballooning cloud of drifting, fakey, pastel-colored feathers.

When I was a kid my friend told me Joust was based on Wizards and I believed him.

Brando and Chris Farley are both gone. It'll never happen.

That's beliveable. He does look very similar to a space knight on an ostritche.

This whole thread reminds me of a running joke in my story series The Chronicles of the Raven:

(excerpt from the story Construction Zone)

"Hey, look!" Metalman called back. "Pong: The Movie's on HBO12!"

"Alright guys," Kaze said as they arrived back in the Lounge. "I know things have been difficult for the last few months. I wish I could say they'll get easier. The truth is, I just don't know. But maybe, now that we have somewhere permanent to stay and relax, we can work together better. I've noticed that there's been friction between some of you, and I know some of you have been frustrated with me. I hope that..."

DONG!

Kaze looked over at the TV, annoyed. "...that you'll be able to put that aside..."

DONG!

Kaze soldiered on. "...and see that when we all work together, we can accomplish great things, like this compound. And..."

DONG!

"Steve! Turn that shit down!" Kaze ordered.

"Aw, come on, man!" Metalman protested. "This is the good part! The left paddle comes back from a twenty-point deficit to win the game!"

Next thing you know, they're making another ET movie, based on the 2600 game!!

Which is basically some guy falling into holes a lot.
