Hey Rick! Nice photos, I recognize lots of that stuff too. Billy told me that Willamette Week interviewed him about the NWCGE show & Atari Championship. Too bad he won't even be there. Oh well, hopefully they'll run some kind of a story that will bring in new people. See you in barely over a week!

Sure enough, there was an article on NWCGE and the 2600 in this week's Willamette Week. You can read it here (http://www.willametteweek.com/editorial/3346/9596/)!

(Note: Might not be safe for work since the article gives a small description of what Beat 'Em & Eat 'Em is about).

The Willamette Week article lists the 2-day admission price as $20. Rick confirmed that price is an error - it is actually $15 for a two-day admission.

I hope to see you all there!

I attended day 1 of NWCGE and I'm glad to say that I've had a blast so far. Even though I only made it to the second round of the 2600 championships, it was fun (especially when everyone was watching one person score just over 25,000 points in Kaboom!). I also played a Vectrex for the first time ever today (Mine Storm and Armor Attack), and I think I played my best game of Ms. Pac-Man ever at the arcade cab there. Looking forward to the NES and Guitar Hero tournaments tomorrow!

DP'ers I chatted with include swlovinist, y-bot, jeannerocket, and Qixmaster. If I missed you, maybe we'll get a chance to talk tomorrow!

I also had a pretty good haul, you can check it out in this post (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1254284&postcount=311) if you want.

There's still one day left, and I highly recommend checking this out if you have the time. Kudos to the NWCGE staff, I had fun at NWCGE 2K6 last year and you've definitely outdone that this time around. :)

IA special thanks to the NWCGE staff, it was a great time. It was nice to hang out and BS with fellow collectors. Thanks to anyone who frequented my table and bought my stuff. (I've still got Bubble Bobble 2!) I wish I could have stayed for Sunday. Thanks for the good times and let's do it again next year.

I was there on Saturday with my buddy, If anyone ran into the guy talking about the $5 buy of Game.Com that was him. I made it myself into the 2nd round of the Atari Tourney as well but after 1 day I had my share. I wish I could made down for Sunday but I got sick. Great show though.

The NWCGE 27K show was a blast! Thanks to the organizers. The venue was larger this year and was much easier to load in and out.

I met a lot of folks from the DP forums. It was nice to make some in-person connections.

Photos of the show including my booth. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/14482990@N08/sets/72157602229172073/)
