Just a guess, but there are people out there who will believe a game is a rare if you tell them it is.

I have a customer at my work who I consider to be a reasonable person and he told me he searches on Ebay for "rare hot wheels". I guess some people use "rare" to narrow down their search. I never thought of that until he mentioned it.

Keyword spamming, but it's allow becasue people who sell the item *thinks* it's rare thus it's a vaild keyword and related to the item (even if it's not :P)

I find it funny when they list an item as "rare" when that same item has over a hundred different listing elsewhere on ebay.

A lot of times I will list items using a template of an old auction for something that I listed as rare and I just forget to change the end of the title. I revised this listing!
