Metal Gear Solid 3 Versions...Help!

Ok, one of the last games I am looking for on JPN PS2 is Metal Gear Solid 3. I know that I am after the Subsistence version, but there seems to be so many versions available in Japan.

Can anyone break down the difference between all the versions?

Also, I bought the slip cover of Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, what others exist?


Here is the list of what I know exists, but I am probably missing stuff & I still don't know which versions are the "best".

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence with Headset (not sure if this came in 2 Disc or 3 Disc or both)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Anniversary Version [Sold Alone not in Boxset]

Metal Gear Solid 2: Limited Edition Boxset
Metal Gear Solid 3: Limited Edition Boxset

Metal Gear Solid Anniversary Boxset


Now, I am not interested in the Boxsets for MGS3 as none of them are the Subsistence versions, but I am pretty sure there are even more cover variations / best collections etc for both of these games.

I generally prefer the original issue of a game, but the Re-Issue of MGS2: Substance has better packaging in that it is a DVD case inside a cardboard slip cover without "SPECIAL PRICE or KONAMI BEST HITS written anywhere". Again, I am not 100% sure this is the best version of the game, but I really hope so...

If you really want all of them don't forget about the Greatest Hits versions. I think that MGS3 added some more content for the GH release.

I am merely looking for the best version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence for the Japanese PS2. Since the online mode is now canceled, I am not too bothered with getting the headset, so I am pretty sure that the 3 disk version is the best available.
