For people who bought Lost & Found Vol. 2, released by Oldergames, I have some information to share about the "early dev prototype" of Three Dirty Dwarves.
After more than 1 month after its release, it seems nobody know what's wrong with it. So i just made a post at www.satakore.com about it. I let you read it over there then you can come back on this thread to talk about it.

Heh, I would hope they intend to do something about this. Whether it be a refund, a new release instead, or something like that.
The games were also supposed to be CGE2K7 releases (at least in part), but Oldergames.com decided they wanted to just sell them all online instead.

Wow...that is sad. I would hope they will step up and address these issues. Any excuse on why it takes so long to get back to you on your questions?
I think a partial refund is due, I don't have a need for Commodore stuff. I am hoping they ring in on this topic here. I am sure they will explain everything and make it right.

I really, REALLY hope they were the ones that got scammed with a fake proto. That's salvageable.
If they didn't, however... eep.

Not really a problem for me as I will not be able to get it if it was only a CGE2K7 release. It is a good point them to let people get it online.

It just took some days/one week between each e-mail we've got (and I didn't get any reply to some of my questions like if they check it and something like that). Then I waited 2-3 more weeks to see if they will talk about it by themselves. Unfortunately, they didn't. So I think it is time to let people know.

thats horrible, I ordered a few for me and a few others, and am disappointed to say the least. As far as Deep Fear being a beta or not, I know of somebody who had sold the same copy to Oldergames, and he is a trustworthy guy.

The beta sold to him is legit, but the TDD info is interesting. hmmm....

I reviewed Lost and Found 2 a month ago in which I mention roughly the same experiences.

Would've done a disc check like you but I couldn't find my PAL disc. :)
Perhaps Oldergames should just give up on the Saturn front. The discs don't work an unmodded system, the content is unimpressive and the Saturn just isn't all that popular.
Now if they could get stuff like Bedlam, Werewolf, Maximum Surge or an early version of Quake on there..that would be a different story. Im not too sure how they should resolve the T.D.D. situation. Couldn't care less about the Commodore games. Maybe they should ask me to handle the Saturn releases :P

Probably a press disc. Most press discs are called BETA's but are 100% identical to the final release. Calling a press disc an 'early development proto' is another story, though.
You know I'm not even that mad at Oldergames, they just ****** up by
releasing a disc labeled 'early development prototype' without doing some test runs to compare it to the final release.

It is the same as the US release. I didn't compare it to the PAL releases but as in most of the case, there are probably differences between PAL and US releases.

Yep, could be really interesting to get stuff like these.

As I said some weeks ago on another forum and after some press discs where sold on eBay (and you bought some of them), sellers who called a pressed disc "BETA" or "PROTO" are trying to rip off the buyers. So this information must also be spread so people will never be scammed again with those pressed discs.

As releasing something, they MUST test what they offer.
You know it is really easy to make a false PROTO with those Saturn CD-R.
Or they must ask people who know a lot about saturn games to verify their copies. (They can contact me and you for this purpose :P:)

Nope, the Boot disc sold by zektor is the black one which allows third party games to be booted but not SEGA games. Deep Fear was published by SEGA so you need another boot disc, the red one to play it.
