I currently use my NES toaster on my 42 inch plasma HDTV I am running the standard cables that came with the NES there is some degree of improvement over my old tube TV. However I cannot play the light gun games. So Im considering getting some Wii points so that I can purchase the lightgun games when they get released. I use the HD component cables for my Wii.

Will I see a clearer picture playing NES VC games through the Wii from what I see on my toaster on the same TV. Kind of like you would see with running Nestopia in the different video modes.

Hopefully this makes sense to the readers here I wasnt sure how to ask my question.

Light guns will not work on plasma or LCD HDTV's.

They will probably be different, but just barely noticable, when they come out on the VC, because Nintendo will be using the Wiimotes hardware. And most likely, Hogan's Alley and Duck Hunt will have a small targeting recepticle for aiming, since the Wiimotes work a little bit different than their older lightgun brethren.

Yeah I knew my light gun would not work on my TV thats why I wanted to go the Virtual Console route, but if there is a sight that follows the motion of the Wiimote that would look terrible trying to play Wild Gunman or Duck Hunt. Oh well I guess ill have to see when they get released.
My main reason for the thread was the quality of the image but I guess ill have to wait till the games get released.

thanx eh

My bad...

The older games on the VC only run in 480i - some of the N64 games run in progressive scan. And if using a Component connection, it will look alot cleaner.

But unfortunately, it will still look pretty washed out, and pixelated because the games aren't running in your TV's native resolution. That's the drawback to plasmas and LCD's...
