I believe it's just what it says it is, a (Japanese) Beta demo of FFXI. I'm pretty sure that the PS2 got something similar in the US. I could be wrong about that though.

It's the Japanese version of the FFIX beta. The US version was released in the Official Xbox Magazine as an extra disc to compliment the monthly demo disc that comes with the magazine. Since you only paid $5, thats not bad. But keep in mind that the beta is no longer active and thus is pretty worthless as a playable disc. But it's still ok to keep as a collectible.

I'm still looking for Japanese imports to play on my xbox. They are all pretty hard to find and the ones that you can find easily(like on ebay) are usually way over-priced, despite very little demand for them.

I'm looking for one of the anniverary white JP Xboxes to go with my Kasumi Xbox and my PDO Xbox. I like the JP Xbox stuff, it's like a little novelty console. Or, a big novelty console.

The FF Beta disc was something given out for free when you bought a 360 in Japan during the first couple of months. It's hard to play outside of Japan because it requires a registration process which is all in Japanese and requires a Japanese address. Plus there were quite a few downloads necessary before play. I remember going through the process and then never actually playing the game...heh.

On Thursday I'm starting an auction for regular XBOX titles that were Japan only exclusive releases. I have about 11 titles so far. It will be a bundle auction starting at $1, so if you want to get some Japan only games that might be a good auction for you.

Also, the NFS disc is a pretty common disc here, usually selling for less than $15. It might have been one of the original discs that played on a US 360, but my memory is fuzzy on that one.
