PowerPak back in stock!

Looks like the NES PowerPaks are back in stock over at retrousb.com. Does anyone know if there is a specific type of CF card that you have to use in them? I'd like to buy my own as I don't need their CF card reader and I can get the cards at a much better price elsewhere.

Crap! I've been waiting for this and it happens right after I drain my bank account paying bills. I guess I could bump my sale thread but, they'll more than likely be gone again before that would do any good. Looks like I'll have to wait for the next batch.

I'm sure any CF card will work being it's a standard format throughout.

They're already moving fast. The carts without CF cards are already sold out. Methinks the rest of the stock will move just as quickly. Since I won't be able to order until I get home tonight, it looks like I'll have to wait for the next batch too.

Hey guys i was talking to brian personally the other night and he said hes gonna be selling a good many more in batches. So keep checking back if they sell out. Also i heard that the 512mb card pretty much can hol an entire set of USA released roms. Good luck guys these things are really great.

I ordered a PowerPak with a 512mb cf card (even tho I dont need it) and a card reader (dont need that either). I can probably resell both for like $50 so oh well hahaha

I also ordered a NWC cart (they're in stock!!!!).

This day is good cause I finally got the damn things, but it's also bad cause now I'm poor.

excellent, i finally snagged a powerpak

does anyone know if it allows anywhere save states? I know it has a feature for saveing with battery backup but it also mentioned something about being able to import savestates from your PC. so can you also save on the pak as a save state?

Just checked in the site, now the PowerPak is back in stock? It wasn't available solo earlier, and now it is. WTF? Oh well, I may as well get the 512mb CF card.

that feature isn't implemented yet and I don't think it is possible based on how the powepak works (i'd like to be wrong on that though)

yhea, it doesn't as far as i can tell. i'm still very happy with it though. excellent product.
only thing that bothers me though is finding a rom that works right (not the powerpaks fault). now i understand the mapper chart and all but some that is says should work i just can't get to work. StarTropics for instance. no matter what i do i can't get the thing to work. tried running it through a header fixer and i got some nice flashes i didn't get before but no game. and yes i tried diffrent roms.

i mean yhea i could play the cart i have but that defeats part of the purpose of the thing for me. a reliable save feature and not haveing to cause wear on my carts.
