I really don't remember the scene too well, since I think the last time I saw the movie I was maybe 10 years old, but at the beginning, I seem to remember him playing a graphical text adventure and having trouble with the parser, etc..
What game was it? Was it a fake game, or some classic I just am not aware of?

I could have sworn I've read on The Underdogs that the game was real. According to a post at the Big forum on IMDB, the credits say:
'computer image designed by sma video inc.
computer display engineered by david satin'

I've read that it looks like an old Sierra game, however, it is not actually the game that people mistake it as.

What? King's Quest? That wasn't the game I was thinking of but I can see why a lot of people think that.
