Okay I have the pc set where it can output mame to the tv now wondering I want something wireless to play it with and thought about the 360 controller. Anyone tried this with it?

As long as you get the Xbox 360 wireless connection kit for windows, it works a treat.

I wouldn't be mildly interested in using the 360 contoller for MAME because of its awful d-pad.

The wireless X-Box 360 controller is what i use for Mame and most of my emulation. I have my Emulation PC hooked up in my living room to my 61' HDTV, and while i do have a wired Arcade Stick, the wireless controller is quite convenient. Especially for a quick game.

It works, I use a wired controller and some Japanese unsigned drivers.

Well then if so then what suggestions (wireless) do you have. While I would love to have the nice arcade stick type setup , its jsut not possible for what I want. So any suggestions are appreciated.

Shoot, even an old cheapy controller can have a better d-pad than the 360 controller. The problem is that the 360 controller is better in all other respects. I personally have a cheap old logitech joypad for the d-pad games in MAME.
